What is DPTM?
The Data Protection Trustmark (DPTM) is a voluntary Singapore certification for organisations with accountable data protection practices. Since 2025 it is based on Singapore Standard SS 714:2025, which IMDA developed with Enterprise Singapore and the Singapore Accreditation Council, and it aligns with the PDPA.

DPTM questions
What is DPTM certification in Singapore?
DPTM certification shows that an organisation’s data protection practices meet Singapore Standard SS 714:2025, which aligns with the PDPA. Certification bodies accredited by the Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) carry out the audits.
Is DPTM mandatory?
No. DPTM is voluntary, although PDPA compliance is a legal requirement. Organisations seek DPTM to show customers and partners that they protect personal data responsibly.
What is IMDA’s role in DPTM?
IMDA runs the DPTM programme. Since July 2025, SAC accredits DPTM certification bodies against ISO/IEC 17021-1, and those bodies audit organisations against SS 714:2025.
