Overview

bizSAFE Level 3 recognises that your organisation has implemented Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Risk Management at the workplace. Many organisations pursue Level 3 because it strengthens safety performance and is often required for projects, vendor onboarding, or licensing needs.

At CCIS, we guide and support organisations through the bizSAFE Level 3 journey – from training planning and documentation preparation to workplace implementation and the required WSH Risk Management Audit by an SAC‑Approved Auditing Organisation (SAC‑AO).

What is bizSAFE Level 3?

bizSAFE Level 3 focuses on risk management implementation. It requires organisations to identify hazards, assess risks, implement risk control measures, and demonstrate that risk management is properly applied at the workplace through an independent audit.

The bizSAFE Level 3 Process

Step 1: Top Management attends TEWP
A company director (or equivalent top executive responsible for WSH) attends the Top Executive WSH Programme (TEWP) to demonstrate leadership commitment and understanding of WSH responsibilities.

Step 2: Functional Heads attend bizSAFE Level 2 Course
Key functional heads attend the bizSAFE Level 2 course (Workplace Safety and Health Control Measures) to build internal competency to drive risk management implementation.

Step 3: Prepare and implement Risk Management documents at the workplace
Your organisation prepares the required Risk Management documentation and implements it at the workplace. This includes identifying work activities, conducting risk assessments, defining risk controls, communicating controls to workers, and keeping records to demonstrate consistent application.

Step 4: Engage an SAC‑AO for the WSH Risk Management Audit
To achieve bizSAFE Level 3, your organisation engages an SAC‑Approved Auditing Organisation (SAC‑AO) to conduct the WSH Risk Management Audit. The audit verifies that risk management has been implemented effectively at the workplace.
